Hiring: Senior Developer

Make an impact to the future of hockey by becoming a lead engineer with a growing sports tech company.  Our stick and puck tracking technology uses sensors embedded in hockey gear and AI-based systems to produce player and team analytics in real-time.  We are piloting our technology and app now and are seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join us as an early tech leader within our team.

You will work with a team of highly talented business, technology and sports professionals to bring the latest sports data & analytics capabilities to life using the world most advanced player tracking technologies.  We are on the path to becoming a world leader in hockey player and puck tracking within the next few years with a focus on serving hundreds of youth leagues globally.  If you have a passion for data and sports, we would love to hear from you!

What you’d be doing:             

  • Hands-on full stack programming with Node.js and Vue
  • Work with Data Science team on pipelines and AI
  • Lead programmers, manage contractors, work with data and hardware teams
  • Some DevOps work with Linux, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker
  • System architecture, roadmaps/project planning, reporting
  • Setting up tracking system hardware, operating at rinks
  • Training and supporting key partners, build up support team and documentation

About you: 

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Active community profiles on GitHub and Stackoverflow
  • 10+ yrs. technical experience with a proven history
  • Proven data engineering abilities with strong JavaScript skills, some python / C+ an asset
  • Experience working with data, working with AI/ ML models preferably
  • Expertise working with relational, non relational and multidimensional databases
  • Experience assessing, setting up and implementing visual analytic solutions
  • Experience deploying applications, working with Git, development and production environments
  • Some Dev Ops experience setting up docker, servers and databases
  • Self-driven and motivated to succeed in the Sports Analytics Industry
