May 2019 (Burnaby, BC). The BCIT Innovation Challenge is an annual event run by the Applied Research Liaison Office. This year, 26 entries were received, all of which included business plans that were carefully reviewed by a judging panel from various areas of BCIT. Drive Hockey presented to a panel of judges, and won second place in the Innovation Challenge for its business model and hockey analytics technology. BCIT awarded a cash prize to help fund further business development. Drive Hockey would like to thank the BCIT MAKE+ team who was a big help in supporting the prototype development process.
