Advanced Tracking Arrives in the Niagara Region

PRESS RELEASE: Vancouver based Drive Hockey Analytics enlists Innovative Sport Analytic Technologies to bring the advanced Drive Hockey Tracking system to the Niagara and Hamilton areas.

VANCOUVER, 20 December, 2022 / Innovative Sport Analytic Technologies becomes a Drive Hockey Regional Service Partner in the Niagara, Hamilton, and Oakville-Burlington regions. This deal brings pro-level sensor-based tracking and analytics to the hockey hotbed of southern Ontario and makes it accessible for any team, in any rink.

The Drive Hockey tracking system uses an array of sensors around the rink, along with player tracking sensors to gather more than 3000 data points per second. The company uses proprietary AI to parse the data into meaningful analytics for players and coaches. This is the advent of NHL-quality data becoming available to amateur levels, where arguably, it can have the most benefit to players and coaches who are developing skills.

“I’m excited about joining Drive Hockey and expanding access to this technology for hockey programs in Southern Ontario”, says Jay Gagnon, owner of Innovative Sport Analytic Technologies, which plans to begin offering evaluations and game tracking, along with player benchmarking and analytic reports to teams in 2023.

“We are thrilled to have Jay and his team provide Drive Hockey tracking services in southern Ontario”, states Drive CEO, Mike Dahlstedt. “Jay brings great experience and operational knowledge and is passionate about the hockey community.”

Drive Regional Partners provide tracking services for hockey teams of any level, which includes game tracking, evaluations and combines, practice tracking, and player benchmarking. Associations and teams are also able to purchase their own tracking systems through Innovative Sport Analytic Technologies.
