USHL Player Development Showcase

Drive Hockey is proud to have partnered with key pro and amateur leagues to enhance their special events. In the USHL Player Development Series, over 200 participating players were equipped with small, powerful sensors attached to their shoulder pads, allowing for unique performance data to be captured at a rate of over 3,000 data points per second. Coaches, players, scouts and media were able to review performance analytics across a variety of athletics, gameplay and tactical metrics.

About the Showcase Event

The United States Hockey League holds annual USHL Combines every spring and summer. Players who are invited to participate in the Combines have been pre-screened and scouted by USHL Central Scouting Staff. Participating players have the opportunity to showcase their skills while playing five (5) games in front of USHL coaches and scouts, as well as NCAA coaches. Invitees will also participate in off-ice physical and cognitive testing. There are various opportunities for informational, educational, and networking components to help players better understand what it takes to play in the USHL. The Combine is a great opportunity for players who are just starting their draft process in preparation for the USHL Draft. Players can learn from and talk with USHL Coaches and General Managers as they look ahead to their first year of USHL Draft eligibility.

On-ice Player Testing with Individual Analytic Reports

Drive Hockey Analytics makes pro-level analytics accessible to all levels of hockey through its innovative tracking system, allowing for deep insights into player and team performance very similar to that found within NHL team analytics departments. Major investments in tracking technology have been made at the NHL level, but this capability was inaccessible for amateurs due to high cost and complexity until now.

“We are excited to partner with Drive Hockey Analytics for the USHL Player Development Series later this month. Drive is an industry leader in hockey tracking and player skill analytics and we’re looking forward to working with them at this event.”
